Karla Wyrostek

Karla is a trained mediator, Nationally Certified Advanced Paralegal, and an Arizona Certified Document Preparer. She has over 30-years' experience in the legal field, has taught at two Arizona colleges and has owned her own business since 1998. Karla graduated from Indiana University with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

In 1981, Karla began working in the legal field in Tucson, Arizona, as a secretary/legal assistant. She worked with Burt Kinerk of Haraldson, Kinerk & Morey, P.C., then Michael Drake (past Pima County Bar President), both of Tucson, was the first paralegal for Tucson Electric Power Company, and became its statutory agent. In 1990, Karla moved to Prescott and worked for Michael R. Murphy (past State Bar President) and then moved to Flagstaff in 1994, where she worked for several A-rated attorneys in Flagstaff.

In 1998, Karla started her own business, Karla's Paralegal Services, Inc., which became incorporated in May, 2001.

While working and raising her children, Karla became a Nationally Certified Paralegal (2-day test) in January, 1991. Shortly thereafter, she became an Advanced Certified Paralegal with a specialty in civil litigation. In September, 2004, Karla became an Arizona Certified Document Preparer. She was trained as a mediator in March, 2006, and received advanced training in December, 2010.

Karla is a member of the Arizona Association of Independent Paralegals and the National Association of Legal Document Preparers. She is an Associate Member of the Coconino County Bar Association. She was a faculty advisor and founder of the Coconino Community College Paralegal Association, 2004-2005.
